The 6/7/8/ grade girls’ basketball games on Saturday, February 23 HAVE BEEN MOVED to Thursday, February 28 with the location and time TBD.
There will be yearbook meetings on Monday, Feb. 18, during lunch periods in Mrs. Walker’s room, room 612.
The Steuben County Community Foundation is awarding Fine Arts Summer Scholarships to Steuben County students who will be in grades 7 and 8 next year. This scholarship will help pay for tuition only for those who believe they have the talent and interest in attending summer fine arts camps. This is a competitive program, with major areas of interest that include music/voice, drama, dance, painting/drawing, creative writing, photography/film/video, culinary arts, etc. If you are interested, see Mrs. Heinlen in the office for a packet.
At lunch today there will be a variety of sweet treats starting at just 50 cents to $2.00.
Winter athletes will have their pictures taken after school TODAY, Friday, Feb. 15. The 7/8 grade girls' basketball team will have pictures taken at 4:00 and the 6th grade girls' basketball team pictures will be taken at 4:10. Coaches will have order forms. Wrestlers will have their pictures taken at THE HIGH SCHOOL AT 4:00 PM.
PH schools WILL BE IN SESSION on President’s Day, February 18, to make up one of our snow days.
Teachers-Be sure to get your spirit wear totals to the correct teacher so they can figure out who will receive the spirit stick at the next pep session! Today is Show Shirt or Movie Shirt day.
The 6th grade girls’ basketball game on Feb. 18 at West Noble will begin at approximately 5:30, NOT 5:00.
Sign up information sheets for 2019 Tri-County League Baseball, Softball and Ragball teams for Ashley/Hudson, Orland, South Milford and Stroh can be picked up this week during lunch periods.
Registration forms for the Little Leopards Dance Camp are in the cafeteria for those who are interested in participating. Take the completed form and registration fee with you to practice on Feb. 21.

LaGrange County REMC is once again offering an exciting opportunity for adventurous 6th graders to attend a unique summer camp consisting of cool outdoor camp-type activities, games and making new friends. It’s also a fun and powerful learning experience about electricity and electrical safety. Current six graders are eligible for the trip at Camp Tecumseh YMCA Outdoor Center in Brookston, Indiana from June 5-8, 2019. Three local students will be chosen (based on their application and short essay) to represent LaGrange County REMC. All camp expenses are paid by LaGrange County REMC. Getting to and from the camp is the responsibility of the student. Applications have gone digital this year and must be filled out online by visiting their website at lagrangeremc.com. Click on “Programs,” and the link will be under “Touchstone Energy Camp.” Or go directly to the application by clicking TouchstoneEnergyCamp.org. Applications are due March 4, 2019. THE 8TH GRADE SKI TRIP HAS BEEN HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 22.
There will be an informational meeting for next year’s incoming freshman on Wed., Feb. 27 at 6:00 in the high school auditorium. They will be reviewing the diploma requirements and new graduation pathways. Letters regarding the meeting will be mailed to all 8th-grade parents.
