Caregivers of Dependents with Special Needs Seminar

Bus News: We operate our school bus loads as efficiently as possible. Parents who have childcare arrangements in multiple houses have already notified us at the beginning of the year and we have allowed room on our buses for them. We do allow for the occasional student who must ride a different bus for a couple of days for childcare reasons. However, we do not have room for a student to take multiple students home with him/her for a party or a sleepover. On occasions, we have a had a student request to take five (5) friends home and we do not have space on our buses for this event. If you have questions about this, please talk to your individual bus driver. Thank you in advance for understanding.
School Choice Information
The entire population of Prairie Heights Elementary, 388 students, had the opportunity of School Choice in 2008-2009, two students opted for School Choice that year.
The entire population of Prairie Heights Elementary, 408 students, were eligible for School Choice in 2009-2010, two students opted for School Choice during this year.
The entire population of Prairie Heights Elementary, 464 students, were eligible for School Choice in 2010-2011. No students opted for School Choice during this year.

Supplemental Educational Services
Supplemental Educational Services (SES) were offered at Prairie Heights Elementary during the 2010-2011 school year. Sixty-two students were eligible for service in this program. Fourteen students enrolled and were serviced in SES this year.
