The LaGrange County Health Department will offer free vaccinations at Prairie Heights for their students in grades 5 th through 12th. New state requirements for students in grades 6 th through 12 th for 2010-11 include vaccinations for chickenpox, meningitis and a combination vaccine for tetanus and pertussis. Immunization permission forms must be signed by a parent/guardian and returned to the clinic by Tuesday April 13th in order to receive free shots at school.
Shots will be given at Prairie Heights High School on Friday, April 16th and Prairie Heights Middle School on Friday, April 23rd. If you have not received an immunization form, please have your child pick one up at the school clinic. Students may also go to the local health department or the doctor to get these shots. ALL students 6th through 12th grade must have their required immunizations by August 2010 registration.
