Tomorrow, Friday, is PJ day for a dollar. Proceeds will go toward buying items for our “We Care” Easter baskets in the spring. Spend $1.00 and be comfy all day!

The library will be CLOSED TODAY, January 17 ALL DAY for OLSAT testing.

The Steuben County YMCA in Angola is again sponsoring Challenger Basketball games on Sundays from Jan. 27 through Feb. 24 from 1:15-2:30 PM. These games are open to anyone with a mental, physical or learning disability. Family swimming will be available after the games and all participants must be accompanied by a responsible adult. For questions or to let them know you are coming call Pat at 243-1200 or text Colin at 616-403-6881.

The Indiana Association of School Principals would like to invite you and your students to the Department of Student Programs’ Student Day at the Legislature for 2019.  The event will take place on Thursday, February 14, from 9 AM to 3 PM (approximately).  During this day your students will hear from various elected officials and tour the Indiana State House in Indianapolis. They will also hold a mock debate of a bill that is being debated in the Legislature this session. This experience is ONLY open to students in grades 7 & 8. Price per attendee (adults included): $15 - Price per attendee if school is NOT enrolled in the Dept. of Student Programs: $25

The registration deadline is January 25, 2019.  You can download the registration form from their website listed below or your student may pick up a copy from Mrs. Heinlen in the office. If you get called to the clinic to sign out during the school day, once you have signed out in the clinic go to the FRONT ELEMENTARY DOORS where the security booth is to meet the person who is picking you up.

On Feb. 1 at 7 PM the T. Furth Center for Performing Arts in Angola will host Joe Martin, an award-winning speaker, university professor and author. He will be speaking on “The Power of Diversity and Inclusion”. The Fort Wayne Pilgrim Baptist Church Choir, along with the Angola HS Choirs will perform. This program, which is part of Trine University’s Martin Luther King Junior Black History Month Celebration, is free to the public.

PH schools WILL BE IN SESSION on President’s Day, February 18, to make up one of our snow days.
